Today Izanagi Game and NIS America announced a delay for the upcoming escape game/bullet hell shoot ’em up hybrid Yurukill: The Calumniation Games.
The western release date has been shifted to July 5, 2022, for North America, and July 8, 2022, for Europe and Australia. Originally it was on June 7 and June 10 respectively.
The same happened for Japan, with the release date delayed to May 26 from April 14.
The western release will be on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, while the PC version coming in Japanese remains unconfirmed.
According to the press release, the delay was due to development challenges, and the extra time will be used to meet the fans’ expectations.
A new trailer was also released on Twitter, and you can watch it below.
If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s written by Homura Kawamoto, whom you may know for creating Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, and by his younger brother, Hikaru Muno.
The character design is by mangaka Hiro Kiyohara, who worked on Valkyria Revolution, while the music is by Yuko Komiyama, known for the Monster Hunter and Mega Man series.
