Code Vein is due to be released this week, and people who are in the vicinity of TwitchCon 2019 can win a free copy of the game - so long as they’re willing to shed some of their own blood.
Code Vein is an upcoming action game that is heavily inspired by the Dark Souls series, with the player taking on the role of a revenant - a vampire-like being that needs to feast on blood to survive. If a revenant cannot find blood, then they transform into a mindless creature known as a Lost. The player is a newly-formed revenant who must fight through hordes of Lost in order to discover the source of the revenant’s curse.
Code Vein is due to be released on September 27, which coincides with the first day of TwitchCon 2019. In order to promote the game, Bandai Namco has announced a promotion on Facebook that involves donating blood for a copy of the game.
The players who are in San Diego can visit a specially prepared blood bank from 10 am to 4 pm on September 27. The players who donate blood during this timeframe will receive a copy of Code Vein as well as a Promo Blood Kit. The event will be a cross-promotion between the American Red Cross and Bandai Namco. The people who wish to donate will need to pre-register for the event and can do so in the link above.
Code Vein has already been receiving a lot of buzz for its co-op take on the Dark Souls formula and the fact the developers apparently don’t know how breasts work, as the jiggle physics of the game have a tendency to ignore the laws of gravity.
Code Vein will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 27, 2019.
