£249 for an UHD Blu-ray player is over £150 cheaper than the current lowest price standalone player.
Original report: Xbox One S will launch this August with prices starting at $299 for a 500GB model, Microsoft has announced.
A limited quantity 2TB launch edition Xbox One S will be available in select markets starting early August for $399 USD, with a 1TB Xbox One S for $349 USD and 500GB Xbox One S for $299 arriving thereafter.
The Xbox One Vertical Stand will also be available for standalone purchase for $19.99. The new controller will also be available separately for $59.
No UK pricing has been announced, but £299 seems about right. At this price it would make the Xbox One S the cheapest UHD Blu-ray player by some margin.
