Call of Duty Warzone 2 has launched and is off to a strong start. With the excitment for the new map and gameplay soaring through the roof, fans have been thoroughly enjoying the new battle royale mode and that hasn’t appeared to be slowing down one bit.
Along with this excitement, has risen a variety of different questions. And one of these very questions has been whether the game mode ‘Plunder’ will return to Warzone 2?
For those of you that don’t know, Plunder is an alternative game mode that came with Warzone, offering a nice change of pace to the intense battle royale gameplay. The goal in Plunder is to gather a certain amount of cash over the course of the game. To achieve this goal, players have to loot crates, complete contracts, and take out enemies.

What’s neat about Plunder is that you would respawn after you die (so there is no gulag) and you would drop back into the game with your loadout.
But will Warzone 2 be home to this fun game mode as well? Here is what we know so far.
Will Plunder Be On Warzone 2?
As of right now, there has been no option to play plunder yet on Warzone 2.0
However, Warzone 2 will have what has been described as, ‘plunder-like skirmishes‘. This description could mean a lot of things and it’s not very clear if the new battle royale experience will actually have a designated Plunder mode or is just incorporating it into something else entirely.
With a variety of new streamer footage out from the Infinity Ward Event of not only Warzone 2 but also the new DMZ mode, we have yet to see or learn much about whether Plunder will actually return as well.
That said, with still a handful of days remaining before Warzone Caldera launches (formerly known as Warzone 1), Call of Duty might very well choose to reveal potential details on whether Plunder will make an appearance on Al Mazrah in the near future in any sort of capacity.
