Wii Sports has suddenly surged in popularity and price on resale sites, possibly owing to the imposed lockdowns and quarantines in place around the world (via Nintendo Life).

Earlier this year, the Switch’s exergame, Ring Fit Adventure, saw a similar situation. People quarantined in China were snapping up copies of the game through grey markets, because the game is not officially distributed in the country. The demand caused the price to skyrocket in a few weeks, from $85 to $260. According to PriceCharting, Wii Sports is going for around $24, so there’s no need to stockpile. Yet.
