Zombie Army Trilogy will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 6, both digitally and in retail stores, independent UK studio Rebellion has announced. The trilogy brings the Zombie Army experience to console for the first time, offering three campaigns set across the “irradiated, demon-infested ruins of World War Two Germany” and the same X-Ray Kill Cam as Rebellion’s Sniper Elite series. 15 missions and 5 Horde maps are included along with nine playable characters, including sniper Karl Fairburne and four new female characters....

Over the years, rumors about a Netflix series based on the Resident Evil games came and went, only for nothing to materialize. However, it appears that the project is finally moving forward, though the streaming giant remains tight-lipped about specific details of the upcoming series. Now, rumors are claiming that pre-production for the Resident Evil Netflix series will commence this April, and filming will begin in June lasting until October. If this were true, then fans can expect a release date at some point in 2021....

Our review of Unravel, EA’s quirky puzzle platformer, won’t be going live on Monday alongside those from other publications. Amidst the massive wait times experienced by overpopulated World of Warcraft: Classic servers, Blizzard is giving players the opportunity to transfer their characters to less populated realms where they won’t need to wait hours just to play the game - and it won’t cost them a penny. Many of these realms were created during the game’s launch in order to remedy the fact that so many people were sitting at their computers waiting for a chance to log in....

In the minds of just about everyone else in the world of gaming, the Xbox Series X and the PS5 will be the main competitors in the next generation of console wars. But according to the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, the company doesn’t even consider Sony to be a serious threat anymore. Spencer went on to say that he still has respect for Nintendo and Sony, but considers the companies to be “out of position” due to how far behind they are when it comes to cloud-based gaming....

Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer has spoken on Xbox’s recent $7.5 billion dollar deal to acquire Bethesda parent company Zenimax, and has said that he doesn’t believe the company needs to go multiplatform with big upcoming titles such as The Elder Scrolls VI to recoup that cost. Speaking in an interview with Kotaku, Spencer was directly asked if he believed his company would be able to recover the expenditure without releasing The Elder Scrolls VI on PlayStation, saying: “Yes,” but also adding “I don’t want to be flip about that....

Xbox has given its strongest hint yet to the multiplatform future of Activision Blizzard games since last month’s acquisition deal between the companies was announced. In a new Microsoft Blog, the president of the company Brad Smith has written to address the company’s plans. His initial statement is similar to that of Xbox head Phil Spencer on Call of Duty‘s future on PlayStation. “To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation through the term of any existing agreement with Activision....

Xbox’s Phil Spencer is confident that the Xbox Series X will be looked upon favourably by customers because its price is adaptable and competitive (via VGC). In an interview with IGN, Spencer relayed the errors made with the Xbox One’s launch in 2013, and said that the current generation console was “out of position” in terms of both price and power. However, he said that the next generation of the Xbox won’t repeat those problems....

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is on its way to the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC, filling out the Yakuza collection on the console family. When Like A Dragon appeared on Steam out of the blue, it alerted us to the possibility of a PC port. Today, SEGA and Xbox have confirmed not only that the game will be available for the Xbox Series X, but it will be available from launch in holiday 2020....

After a long road full of anticipation and delays, Forspoken has finally graced players’ screens. However, from the moment the story trailers started coming out, gamers online couldn’t help but notice that something seemed off when it came to the dialogue featured throughout the trailers. One in particular dubbed the “Let Me Get This Straight” trailer, drew widespread attention for how cringy it was and has been lampooned by those across the community in the months since....

Sony’s head of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida has thanked fans for their patience while waiting for The Last Guardian, explaining that their excitement helped Sony “maintain [its] momentum, energy and passion” for the project throughout its troubled development. “Thank you to all of you, fans of PlayStation, fans of [director] Ueda-san’s work, for all the years we’ve been working on this title, we are able to maintain our momentum, energy and passion because we knew that you are waiting to play this game,” Yoshida said in a new unboxing video of the game’s Collector’s Edition (below)....

Publisher 2K Games has revealed WWE 2K Battlegrounds: an arcade-like wrestling game that will seemingly replace WWE 2K20 as this year’s WWE title. “We’re thrilled to introduce you to WWE 2K Battlegrounds, a completely new WWE gaming experience that will feature arcade-style action and over-the-top Superstar designs, environments and moves,” says 2K via a recent press release. “Whether you’re a casual gamer just learning the ropes or a passionate fan ready for all the action, WWE 2K Battlegrounds provides another way to enjoy WWE video game action....

Microsoft announced the lineup of new games coming to the Xbox Game Pass catalog for PC, consoles, and cloud all scheduled for the first week of June. The list kicks off with For Honor: Marching Fire Edition on June 1 for all three platforms. Ubisoft’s honorable brawler had been previously available on the service, but now contains the Marching Fire expansion at no additional cost. The expansion adds a new faction, arcade mode, and more....

In an ongoing fight to improve account safety against fraud, Square Enix has announced additional measures to protect Final Fantasy XIV users on Steam. This will require you to link your Steam and Square Enix Final Fantasy XIV account, so you may want to get up to scratch with how this process will work. The developers are working on rolling out an additional form of account verification for Final Fantasy XIV on Steam....

To borrow a phrase from one of Will Ferrell’s most forward-thinking characters: “Podcasts about weird people. So hot right now.” Apple has given a straight-to-series order to The Shrink Next Door, an eight-episode limited series based on a podcast of the same name. Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd helped develop the project and will star as the two leads: Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd), his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowit (Ferrell)....

Machine Games popped up at Bethesda’s E3 presser this morning (yes, it’s 3.15am in the UK right now, in case you wondered) to announce a brand new Wolfenstein game: Wolfenstein Youngblood. The game takes place in Paris, France during the 1980s and is a cooperative experience starring BJ’s twin daughters. Wolfenstein Youngblood is due out in 2019. The Blazkowicz twins are all grown up and ready to join the fight. Take down Nazi forces in Paris, 1980 in #Wolfenstein Youngblood, a brand-new co-op adventure coming in 2019....
