Xbox’s November update is rolling out today, making a number of previously Insider-only features - including improved Discord support - available to all users. Discord server voice chat support for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S initially launched in September, but was somewhat hampered by its convoluted mobile app requirements. Today’s Xbox update streamlines the whole process, meaning users simply need to launch a Discord server via their console’s Parties & chats > Discord option then pick a voice channel from their available Discord servers - and as long their Discord and Xbox accounts are linked, they’ll be able to join that channel directly, no additional mobile app faff required....

Over the weekend, World of Warcraft Classic was affected by a series of DDoS attacks that downed all U.S. servers, as reported by Kotaku. A Twitter account named UkDrillas took credit for the attacks, providing a warning before knocking out servers, as well as a few non-Classic ones. The attack resulted in multiple login failures, timeouts, player kicks, and exceptionally drawn-out wait times. The Twitter account has since been terminated, and Blizzard has confirmed that the assault is over....

UK supermarket Asda has begun clearing out older Xbox One bundles to make way for this Christmas’ line up of SKUs, according to members of bargains website HotUKDeals. The discounts mean that lucky bargain hunters can grab an Xbox One console with a Kinect for just £200, or an Xbox One with a Blu-ray copy of X-Men: Days of Future Past for the same price. The Xbox One S is more powerful than the original Xbox One console, Polygon reports. Rod Fergusson, head of Gears of War 4 studio, The Coalition, is said to to have told Polygon that the new slimline Xbox One S has ‘additional raw GPU and CPU power’. The report doesn’t contain any direct quotes from Fergusson on the matter, but Fergusson is reported to have told the site that the extra power allows the development studio to ‘reduce the frequency of frame rate or resolution penalties in more demanding sections of the game’....

It was only just over a week ago that NIS America announced that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA was coming to the PC later this month but it’s now been delayed. There’s some bad news from NIS who now state that the game has been pushed back “to an as-of-yet indeterminate date”. NIS says the game has been delayed because of low framerates and memory leak issues which means they need to “modify the core level of data in the game”....

SpaceX plans to send a cargo ship to Mars by 2022 with humans to follow in 2024. 2022 is only four years away. A smaller, cheaper version of the Xbox One will release later this year ahead of a “more powerful” Xbox console in 2017, a new report has claimed.
