Microsoft has cancelled plans to introduce TV DVR to Xbox One. The platform holder first announced the functionality last August, stating that users would be able to record live free-to-air TV directly on their Xbox One following an update this year. But that’s all been put on hold, Microsoft told The Verge earlier today. “After careful consideration, we’ve decided to put development of DVR for Over-the-Air TV on hold to focus our attention on launching new, higher fan-requested gaming experiences across Xbox One and Windows 10,” a Microsoft spokesperson said....

Ys Net has posted an official update to their Kickstarter backers as to the situation for PC keys for upcoming long awaited RPG sequel, Shenmue 3 for the game’s launch as well as clarifying their decision. As per the update on the game’s Kickstarter page, backers are being told that their physical and digital PC keys will go through the Epic Games Store, thanks to the previously confirmed exclusivity deal with the store announced back at E3....

Konami has staple-gunned a September 6 release date to its upcoming Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner remaster on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is a modern revamp of Hideo Kojima’s classic 2003 mech-blasting actioner, and is fully compatible with PlayStation VR thanks to 2nd Runner’s new first-person VR mode. Of course, being a remaster the game features a host of flashy visual enhancements, including 4K resolution support and generally looking much better than it did 15 years ago....

WipEout Omega Collection will launch for PS4 on June 7, bringing together up to 4K remasters of WipEout HD, Fury and 2048. The game will run at 60 frames per second, offering 1080p on PS4 and dynamic 4K on PS4 Pro. Sound effects have also been remastered, and Sony has added 28 licensed music tracks from artists including Swedish House Mafia, Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy. Split screen local multiplayer is supported, plus you can race online against up to seven Anti Gravity Racing league pilots....
