The basic structure of most of these games was that the series’ main character, Adol Christin, went on solo adventures. Along the way, he’d find ancient secrets while leveling up and obtaining new weapons and armor. Early entries were short but so fast-paced that they didn’t feel like it. August 5 has been a date that many wrestling fans have been waiting for, as publisher 2K games and even WWE superstars have been teasing about what’s to come in WWE 2K20. Notably, a leaked WWE 2K20 trailer revealed much of this information ahead of time, but now, most of that has been confirmed. In a media briefing (via VGC) Microsoft said that Xbox is “on track” to release at least five first-party games in 2023. The company noted that it released five games during the last fiscal year. These games were Microsoft Flight Simulator, Psychonauts 2, Age of Empires IV, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. (It is worth noting that these are not all Xbox-exclusive games; Age of Empires IV was only available on PC, and Psychonauts 2 was also out on PlayStation 4....

Nintendo isn’t ready to abandon the Wii U any time soon, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has said. “I believe the Wii U business still has considerable room for growth, as a number of software titles that are compatible with the console are slated for release in 2015,” Iwata told Nikkei. 2K Games and Visual Concepts have lifted the lid on ten upcoming features coming in wrestling sim WWE 2K22. Top of this list of features is a redesigned game engine, presumably in an effort to exorcise the ghosts of the much-maligned WWE 2K20. Gameplay and animation have been redesigned from the ground up, we’re told. This also means a new and updated control system too. Apparently, this will make the game easy to pick up and play but also allowing for “high-skill expression....

Last week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw saw the long-awaited return of Edge, coming off of a spectacular Royal Rumble 2020 return. For a moment, it seemed as though Edge was going to reunite with Rated-RKO tag team partner Randy Orton, but instead Orton laid him out with an RKO and Conchairto. Xbox has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on PC and Apple devices via web browser for all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. As per the Xbox Wire, subscribers in 22 countries can now access the service by going to Xbox.com/play via any compatible browser and a connected controller. Once you do this, you’ll be able to access and play over a hundred Xbox games available via the Cloud on the service....

Platinum Games has wished everyone a happy new year, and also announced that Xbox One exclusive dragon game Scalebound has been delayed out of 2016 into 2017. “Development on the game is going well and we’re really happy with how it’s coming together,” reads a blog by the Scalebound Team. “Scalebound is one of the biggest games PlatinumGames has ever created: an epic adventure filled with exploration and fantasy gameplay, inventive multiplayer, and action-packed battles on an unbelievable scale – all set in a beautiful and evolving world....

Good news, Final Fantasy 14 fans - the hugely-popular MMO will now run on Steam Deck. Previously, the game would hang if you tried to launch it on Steam Deck, but now a new fix - in testing at the moment but deploying to all systems soon - means the Final Fantasy 14 Online Launcher is once again operational.
