The next Wolfenstein game could be called ‘Wolfenstein: New Colossus’, according to a tease dropped during Bethesda’s E3 press conference. While the game wasn’t officially revealed during the publisher’s show, a teaser (captured by @Duke_Bilgewater) appeared in a fake boot up screen opening the conference alongside the names and release dates of earlier Wolfenstein games. The release date for New Colossus is starred out, although earlier rumours hint at a 2017 release....

Bad news for the denizens of Azeroth. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been delayed. This, despite Blizzard offering assurances that the expansion would be available later this month. Blizzard has done its best to keep people engaged by launching new expansions every couple of years. But World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will see an unfortunate delay from its original launch on October 27 to the end of the year. The delay, as explained in a tweet from the game’s Executive Producer John Hight, will let the team further polish “one of the most intricate expansions” the game has seen....

WWE 2K20 was recently confirmed with the release of its very first screenshots, revealing how Bayley and Brock Lesnar will appear in the game. A full WWE 2K20 gameplay reveal is set to take place on Monday, August 5, but the game itself will likely be unavailable until October, if past WWE 2K video game release dates are any indication. That is a somewhat long time to wait for professional wrestling fans hungry for a new video game, but perhaps they can tide themselves over by revisiting some other wrestling video games from over the years....

It looks like we may get more information about WWE 2K23 at the end of this month, and rumour has it, the latest instalment of the wrestling series will release in March 2023. It’s thought we’ll find out more on 28th January at the upcoming Royal Rumble in San Antonio, with hands-on gameplay and a new mode reveal said to be on the cards. Insider Gaming says the information set to be shared that night will be embargoed until the end of the month “to allow for travel and content development”, so expect more then....

Project Scorpio, the Holiday 2017 new Xbox which promises 6 teraflops of GPU power, is seen by Microsoft as a new generation to the Xbox One and PS4, but with one key difference to the usual generation change, says Xbox boss Phil Spencer. “When you see things like 4K coming, I want to make sure that we create a part of the Xbox One family that supports 4K but doesn’t have you feel like you’re leaving all the content investment that you made in the platform itself,” Spencer told GamesIndustry....

Xbox Live users are now able to search for their Facebook friends directly through the Windows 10 Xbox app, Microsoft has announced. The feature lets players add their Facebook friends to their Xbox Live friends list without having to manually search for their name or gamertag. The functionality will also be added to Xbox.com later this week. “Inspired by a top requested fan feature, we’re bringing two of your favourite social networks together – Xbox Live and Facebook – and making it easier than ever to find more people to play games and have fun with,” Mike Ybarra, Director of Program Management for Xbox wrote in an update on Xbox Wire....

Long before Prometheus or Alien: Covenant proved divisive among fans of the Alien franchise, David Fincher’s Alien 3 made a good stab at sending devotees into a frothing rage.
