Project xCloud has been in development by Microsoft for some time now, and fans have been eager to be among the first to try it. Now players will have an opportunity to do just that, as the service is opening for a public preview. Project xCloud is Microsoft’s take on streaming gaming. It will allow players to stream Xbox games to their mobile devices, including phones and tablets. Although the service isn’t ready for prime-time just yet, Microsoft is taking the opportunity to ask fans and players for their input with this preview....

We haven’t heard much from Cyberpunk 2077 lately, but the good news is we shouldn’t have to wait much longer, as developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed it’ll be attending E3 in June. Right now we don’t know if the game will be playable or not, but still, it’s good to know we’ll at least be getting some more news in the next couple of months. Cyberpunk 2077 is obviously one of the most anticipated games out there right now, although technically, we don’t actually know what consoles it’ll be released on....

Rebellion has unleashed the newest Ragnarok DLC for its co-op zombie shooter Zombie Army 4: Dead War. The Ragnarok Campaign and Character pack includes a two-part campaign mission featuring Alpha Squad. The team must head into the depths of hell itself to stop the evil Projekt Ragnarok from coming into effect. In addition to the campaign, the DLC also includes a character pack with new costumes. These include the Future Karl, Marie Lounge Singer and Josiah Detective ensembles for you to slay in style....

Ever since Saw Gerrera was first introduced in The Clone Wars animated series, his character has grown into a vastly intriguing and different character than what is typically presented in the Star Wars universe. Rather than being on the idealized side of good or the treacherous side of evil, Gerrera represents that very human middle ground that flitters in the varying fog of grey morality. Microsoft’s latest industry-shaking acquisition is set to help fuel its steady delivery of new Xbox Game Pass content, especially if the publisher is intent on reviving some of Activision-Blizzard’s dormant IPs. Xbox fans have begun to post funny memes on social media in response to the news that Sony isn’t going to E3 2020. Many were surprised to learn that Sony wouldn’t be at E3 2020 and that it would be using a different event to reveal more about the PS5. Most of the posts by Xbox fans about E3 2020 are from people suggesting that Xbox has “won” the event and that Sony is scared of the Xbox Series X....

Microsoft has confirmed it has put a bunch of Xbox 360 games on the chopping block for its Xbox Games Pass service. May 31 will see a total of 21 games leaving the streaming service, only two of which are for the Xbox One. The rest are for Microsoft’s last-generation machine, and include a number of high-profile titles such as BioShock, Borderlands, and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero. It’s worth mentioning that third-party software never stick around permanently, although this is perhaps the biggest cull we’ve seen since Xbox Games Pass first launched....

The digital-only Xbox One S we’ve been hearing so much about is about to land, and it will be much sooner than you may have expected. Microsoft has released the World Premiere TV commercial for its upcoming 4K-ready console, the Xbox One X. Featuring the anthemic ‘Power’ from Kanye West, the advert wants you to ‘Feel True Power,’ or something along those lines. The one minute video shows off a montage of clips from the likes of PUBG, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Minecraft, Cuphead, Forza Motorsport 7 and more. Microsoft has interspersed these quick looks at the games coming to the console with what I can only assume are 4K clips of Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a goal, and the original (and best) Aliens movie on Ultra HD Blu Ray....

The next generation consoles are but a month away, so it’s time for launch campaigns and Xbox has revealed their launch trailer for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles. The first trailer in the ‘Power Your Dreams’ campaign, as it’s being dubbed, is called ‘Us Dreamers’ and stars Oscar nominated actor Daniel Kaluuya (of Get Out and Black Panther fame) sitting down to enjoy some time with his new console....

This year’s edition of the annual Tokyo Game Show has published its schedule, revealing Xbox is set to be at the event with some “exclusive news and content”. If you’re familiar with mobile gaming over the past few years, you may recognise the name Simogo. If you don’t, then we’ll tell you that it’s the studio responsible for some of the best mobile games of the past few years including Device 6, Year Walk and Beat Sneak Bandit. The team has been quiet for a little while, until today. In a blog post looking back on the past year, Simogo has revealed it wound up spending much of its time this year porting its older mobile titles to work with newer phones, however this process is proving ‘increasingly financially unviable, tiring and unenjoyable for us to keep on making substantial alterations for new resolutions, guidelines, and what have you, as they seem to never end....

The spiritual successor to those 3D platformers from Rare that you grew up with, Yooka-Laylee, has been updated on PC, Mac and Linux. The patch will be coming to consoles in a few weeks, and the Nintendo Switch version will have all these additions built-in from day one. The update addresses many of the issues players had (including myself) with the game such as the argumentative camera, which you will now be able to overcome thanks to an option that gives you complete control over it....
