World of Warcraft Classic lead Brian Birmingham has parted ways with Blizzard after voicing concerns about the company’s “forced” stack-ranking policy. The policy in question reportedly states managers at Blizzard are obliged to give a low “Developing” rating - something that could impact an employees financial status and future promotion potential - to a certain percentage of its staff in order to meet a quota laid out by parent company Activision Blizzard....

UPDATE 4.30pm UK: “Full mitigation” of this weekend’s Xbox server issues is expected “in the coming days”, Microsoft has said, and will come as part of a new console update. In the meantime, the Xbox Support Twitter account said there had been “significant improvement to the issue”. Word of a forthcoming system update to address the issues is intriguing, however. Microsoft announced the lineup of games coming to Xbox Game Pass across all platforms for the first half of July with new games and a few returning favorites. Kicking off the month already is the return of a few of Sega’s Yakuka games, which left Xbox Game Pass late last year. Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are now available across PC, consoles, and the cloud. That means the entire Yakuza series is playable through Game Pass again with the addition of these earlier entries....

Bugsnax, the new adventure game from Young Horses, draws from titles like Ape Escape, Dark Cloud, Pokémon Snap, and Viva Piñata (via DualShockers). Microsoft has criticised YouTuber Mil Grau for publishing homophobic, racist, and sexist content, and has requested the removal of its branding from his videos (via The Gamer). Apparently, Mil Grau has been sharing his unprincipled beliefs through his social media accounts and videos for some time. Reddit user The Era of Luigi has been reporting Mil Grau’s account since 2018, and when these posts were flagged up to Phil Spencer, action was taken against the content creator....

Yakuza: Like a Dragon just recently launched in Japan and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios has been holding a press tour to promote the game. At a recent event in Taiwan, producers Hiroyuki Sakamoto and Daisuke Sato were asked about where they see the series going in the future and whether or not there are any ideas being thrown around for Yakuza 8.
