Microsoft has reportedly reached the testing phase for Xbox Cloud Gaming via a web browser, ahead of a public preview in the near future. According to a report from The Verge, employees are testing the web based version using the xCloud technology ahead of a public preview for launch later this year. It appears it’ll be available through a standard Chromium web browser, although of course you’ll need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to access it....

The secretive Project Lockhart, a disc-less counterpart to Microsoft’s Xbox Series X next-gen console, could be unveiled in August, according to a report from Eurogamer. The outlet claims that the long-rumored Lockhart is actually called the Xbox Series S and that it will be presented as an all-digital version of the console, not unlike the disc-less PlayStation 5 that was announced in June. According to Eurogamer, Microsoft originally planned to unveil the Xbox Series S at E3 2020, along with its slate of next-gen games, but when the show was canceled and timelines were pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company was forced to rethink that strategy....
Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the upcoming R.P.G., will get a Nintendo Direct all to itself this week. And it will be around twenty minutes long. Ubisoft has teased new operator Jackal, a member of the Spanish special forces who is described as a “specialist of difficult terrains”. Jackal will be form part of the upcoming Operation Velvet Shell DLC, which also includes a second Spanish operator and the new Coastline map set on the shores of Ibiza. YouTubers have reported seeing their work retroactively slapped with unexpected age restrictions, or being demonetised, as a result of the platform’s recent rule changes regarding profanity usage and violent content in videos uploaded to the site. These changes, which were first laid out by YouTube in November, state the platform’s “approach to profanity is changing” (thanks, Kotaku). Now, all profanities are “treated equally” across the site, meaning words like ‘crap’ carry the same weight as ‘fuck’ as far as inappropriate language use goes (the site has, however, eased its stance on both “hell” and “damn” - these words are no longer classed as profanities and can be used more freely)....
The single most iconic card in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon is an engine of beauty and destruction. A massive dragon capable of blasting away 90% of monsters in the game, it’s no shock that this is the card that has the most artwork variants of any other. Bethesda has announced Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, a standalone prequel to last year’s Wolfenstein: The New Order heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 5. Microsoft has announced plans to discontinue production of the Xbox 360. Xbox has officially announced its Game Pass Friends and Family plan, which is already available in Colombia and the Republic of Ireland. A few days ago, a logo for the plan, which was reportedly scraped from Xbox’s backend system, surfaced online. The Xbox One GameDVR feature is going to receive a nice resolution boost in the next Xbox One UI update. Currently the console only records game clips at 720p, but with the next big dashboard update Xbox One owners will be able to save game recordings at 1080p. This feature is available to test right now for members of the Xbox Insider Program (Alpha ring). When the UI redesign comes to the Xbox One later this year, all Xbox One owners will be able to save their games clips at 1080p directly to the Xbox One hard drive, or even to an external drive....
