Call of Duty, of course, has been a major factor in the deal, with Xbox previously promising to keep the popular shooter series on PlayStation for at least three years, should the deal be approved. However, the company has now told the New York Times that it is apparently offering to extend this offer to ten years on November 11....

The NPD Group reports that for the month of July Wii Sports Resort was the top selling single format video game in the US, shifting 508,000 units. While Wii Sports Resort was the top selling single format title, it was EA’s NCAA Football 10 which sold the most units combined – 376,500 on Xbox 360 and 237,400 on PS3. Wii Fit moved 164,300 units, Mario Kart Wii managed 156,600 units and Pokemon Platinum shifted 116,400 units....

Developer Bulkhead interactive and the Square Enix Collective have announced that their WW2 shooter Battalion 1944 will be coming to Early Access soon.
