During an E3 panel at Geoff Keighley’s E3 Coliseum, Middle-earth: Shadow of War actor Troy Baker and creative lead Michael de Plater showed off some gameplay of the upcoming sequel to Shadow of Mordor. At the end of the demo, Monolith’s de Plater confirmed that ‘you never have to replay the same mission twice.’ ‘We can never replay that mission. Time is going to move forward, the world is going to evolve, the guys that are dead are going to stay dead,’ de Plater told Baker after he asked about replaying a mission that was on the big screen behind them....

Israeli developer 3DV Systems, the company behind the technology used for Project Natal, had originally approached both Sony and Nintendo before being purchased by Microsoft. Given Project Natal’s potential, I would assume it comes as a bit of shock that neither Nintendo or Sony would jump all over this piece of technology. The reasons why lay in concerns about latency issues, cost, and processing power. Apparently, without a a co-processor, Natal could use up to 15% of a console system’s processing power....

Activision Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth has become the fastest-selling expansion for the popular fantasy-RPG to date. Released on August 14, Battle for Azeroth sold 3.4 million copies in its first day, setting a new day-one sales record for the World of Warcraft series and also becoming one of the fastest-selling PC games to date. To be honest, anything with World of Warcraft stamped on the cover usually sells like hotcakes, so this isn’t all that surprising....

2K Games has confirmed we’ll be seeing a new entry from wrestling series WWE 2K22 this year, and given us our first glimpse of this year’s game via a short trailer. As promised, the video was shown during this weekend’s Wrestlemania event and features long-time favourites Rey Mysterio and Cesaro going at it in the ring. Unfortunately, that’s about all we’re getting in the way of information for the moment, with the team currently keeping most of their cards to their chest but promise more information in the coming months....

Xbox One format holder Microsoft has announced that it will be shaking up its Xbox Live Rewards program this Summer, with the feature set to be assimilated within the Microsoft Rewards initiative. The company confirmed that the changes will roll out in June in North America, with other regions having already done so or are planning on doing so at a later date. You’ll see a notification of the change pop up when you have a gander at the Xbox Live Rewards website....

Developer Playtonic Games appears to be teasing the announcement of a new game via their Twitter account. A tweet posted today contains a video featuring tweets from fans asking when they’ll announce their next project after the throwback hit from the ex-Rare developers Yooka-Laylee.
