Worms developer and Overcooked! publisher Team17 has announced its intention to step into the contentious NFT market, drawing the ire of fans. MetaWorms will be officially licensed collectible NFTs based on the series, according to the press release. These collectibles will be one of a kind, and secured and protected on the blockchain. The British games publisher has teamed up with Reality Gaming Group to make the tokens, which it claims will be “environmentally friendly” compared to other NFTs....

In a single, hotly-anticipated tweet, Laminar Research has confirmed that X-Plane 12 is coming in hot. In aviation terms, X-Plane 12 is pretty much on its “final approach” before landing in the libraries of simmers worldwide as an Early Access release. The new flight sim has been hotly-anticipated for a good while now by the community. After all, its predecessor is a tad over five years old at this point....

Xbox Game Pass is having another bumper month on PC. This particular update contains a ton of PC additions to the library, including existing titles, brand new releases and game preview launches. The upcoming July schedule begins tomorrow, July 16, with the addition of Forager into the Xbox Game Pass for PC library. This one is a 2D open world game inspired by exploration, farming and crafting games, allowing players to Explore, craft, gather and manage resources, find secrets, and build bases....

UPDATE 10/02/22: Following yesterday’s announcement trailer, Monolith executive director Tetsuya Takahashi has shared a few additional words about Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Takahashi revealed that the trailer’s closing scene showing a broken great sword of Mechonis and the body of the Urayan Titan with a gaping wound was conceived a long time ago. In fact, the seed for this image was initially planted between “the end of development of Xenoblade Chronicles and the beginning of development of Xenoblade Chronicles 2”....

Toshihiro Nagoshi and Daisuke Sato have both confirmed they’re leaving Sega following a shake-up at Yakuza developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The news was broken by the studio itself, as it announced it was to “transition to a new structure” to mark its 10th anniversary. New director Masayoshi Yokoyama explained the changes to fans, and thanked them for their support. “The world can change in a blink of an eye. And that requires us to change as well....

When Nvidia unveiled the next-generation GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 on Tuesday afternoon, the company announced a new 12-pin PCIe power connector will be used to power the new Ampere-powered graphics cards. That led to a lot of speculation and concern about whether most consumers will also need to shell out the money for a new power supply (PSU). According to Nvidia itself, that won’t be necessary. The company released a handy diagram showing what you’ll need from a PSU in order to use the new lineup of graphics cards....

Another day, and yet another bug has reared its ugly head in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. We previously reported that hotfix/patch 1.0.4 aimed to fix a lot of server issues. This hotfix, among other things, would also let players use the Dark Market and Transmutation Forge features since they once caused crashes upon launching the game. Now, it seems players have discovered an exploit that’s more beneficial than ever before. It lets you create broken or OP legendary items out of uniques by upgrading them via Wolcen‘s Dark Market....

Released back in October 2016 for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita, World of Final Fantasy has now made its chibi-faced way over to the PC. The video has the team at Visual Concepts showcase some new and renewed aspects of this year’s iteration of the franchise, both in the field of visuals and in that of gameplay mechanics. We also get to see Rey Mysterio as he beats the crap out of Damian Priest, which is always a good time....

I am repeatedly drawn to games with strong visuals, and Wytchwood was no exception. In its very first moment, you wake up as a witch, herself a plump figure with what looks like a pot for a head, in a hut that looks like it comes straight out of a fairy tale pop-up book. Everything from your bookshelf to the cauldron bubbling away on the hearth looks slightly two-dimensional, and yet the setting seems to be teeming with life....
