Sega has announced a western release for historical Yakuza spin-off Like a Dragon: Ishin, which has been “rebuilt from the ground up” and will be making its way to PS4 and PS5 next February. Like a Dragon: Ishin originally released for PlayStation 3 and PS4 in Japan (under the name Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin!) back in 2014, transplanting the chaotic Yakuza formula to the Late Edo Period for a historical slice of samurai action....

Diablo creator David Brevik admitted to IGN in 2018 that he is at least partially responsible for Blizzard’s decision to cancel the graphic adventure game based on the Warcraft series that Blizzard had intended to release. However, he cautions fans to not think too harshly of him over his decision to speak against the seemingly promising game. “Guys, this really isn’t kind of a modern game. Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble will launch in Europe for iOS and Android on March 30, Level-5 and NHN PlayArt have announced. The mobile game has already been a hit in Japan, North America, Canada, and Australia, gaining more than 10 million downloads. “We’re super excited to bring this fully localised version of Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble to Europe and Russia – and to be able to share the Yo-Kai story with the world at large,” commented Yukari Hayakawa, COO of Level-5....

The Witcher’s showrunner has responded to questions regarding the timeline and vows that season two will be “more linear”. If you’ve only just started watching Netflix’s The Witcher, you might be getting confused right around episode four or so. That’s because you’ll suddenly find characters that were killed in the first episode miraculously alive again. That’s not due to some dark necromantic magic–unless you count fancy editing. A common complaint about the show has been how each episode seems to bounce between the past and present, showing scenes from Geralt’s past while showing other scenes from Ciri’s present before swapping timelines in the next episode....

The Wolfenstein series is known for its ruthless bloodshed and cool guns, but one particular gun from Wolfenstein: Youngblood might be a little too cool. Youngblood just launched in July, and its final boss battle is notoriously difficult. During the battle with Lothar Brandt (disgraced Nazi commander and big bad of Youngblood), being annihilated in a couple of seconds flat is upsettingly common. It’s mostly because of Lothar’s mind-bogglingly overpowered gun, and the fact that Lothar as an enemy is so much higher in difficulty than basically any other enemy in the game....

A leaked interview with E&D President Robbie Bach leaked online today, removed, then later put back up in full form. The reason? The award-winning team behind Xbox’s candid six-part documentary series, Power On: The Story of Xbox, has secured another award: a Daytime Emmy. The documentary - which was released on 13th December across “a variety of video platforms”, including Roku, IMDb TV, YouTube, Redbox, and more - won the award for Outstanding Single-Camera Editing (thanks, VGC). The project - which explores the history of Microsoft’s console, from its conception to recent successes - began three years ago and was announced at the Xbox Anniversary Celebration....

Cowcat has announced that indie darling Xenon Valkyrie+ will be winging its way to PS4 and Xbox One next month. The award-winning roguelike platformer was previously released on PS Vita, and will now hit Sony and Microsoft’s flagship consoles on February 20 and February 21, respectively.
