A couple of very useful new features have been announced coming in a future Xbox update that will allow players to potentially increase their download speeds via the Queue section of the Dashboard. As spotted by Eurogamer, the update—rolling out to Xbox Insiders now before it heads to everyone else later—has a new ‘Suspend my game’ button appear that will let you suspend a game currently running in order to make your download go faster while still allowing you to use Quick Resume on the same game on Series X|S....

On November 14th, YouTube will combine the chocolate and peanut butter of genres (horror and science fiction, obviously) with a relatively new format: the streaming service original drama. The show is called Origin. Today NIS America released a new feature to the PC version of Nihon Falcom’s JRPG Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, and it’s an exciting one. With today’s update, players will be able to play in co-op mode either locally or via Steam Remote Play Together. The accompanying press release defines the feature as an “exclusive experimental feature for the PC version of the game” so it may not make it over to PS4 and Nintendo Switch....

For the latest entry in 2K’s WWE series, Visual Concepts has taken over as the sole developer of WWE 2K20, having previously worked as a co-developer alongside Yuke’s since 2014. In an effort to make WWE 2K20 its own, Visual Concepts has introduced a brand new control scheme to the series for the first time that changes things up pretty drastically compared to prior games. Unfortunately, not all of the changes have been for the better with Sony being forced to offer refunds due to the “broken” state of WWE 2K20 at launch....

Microsoft has added a couple of new additions to Xbox Game Pass for January, including Capcom’s celebrated brawler Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Just Cause 3 is also now available on the service, so if you’re in the mood for blowing stuff up, you’re in for a treat. However, Microsoft confirmed it is booting out four games from Xbox Game Pass, so keep that in mind. Xbox is surveying Insiders on new energy consumption features. A questionnaire on the Xbox Insider app, spotted by Windows Central, is gauging the potential popularity of new energy efficiency features on PC and console. Nintendo Switch exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has earned the biggest UK launch yet for the series, in terms of boxed sales figures. But the critically-acclaimed RPG missed out on becoming the franchise’s most lucrative launch to date - largely because it launched without its more-expensive Definitive Edition, GamesIndustry.biz reported. As you may recall, the extra contents of Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Definitive Edition are now slated for launch later this year, due to “unforeseen logistical challenges”....

Red Dead Online’s beta is now in full swing, but Rockstar Games has warned players that their progress may be reset at any point if the need should arise. The beta began rolling out for owners of the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2 yesterday, and will eventually make its way to everyone who has a copy of the critically acclaimed cowboy-’em-up.
