It’s headlined by a main-event level wrestler, who made the unforeseen jump to the new promotion, and Jericho, like Hogan in 1996, demands and expects to be treated like a god. Much like how the nWo started — before it grew into an over-inflated group of egomaniacs — the Inner Circle has the star (Jericho), the tag team (Ortiz and Santana) the up-and-comer (Sammy Guevara) and the muscle (Jake Hager)....

A Wii U console bundle including a physical copy of Splatoon will launch in Europe and the UK on June 19, Nintendo of Europe has announced. You’ll get a Premium 32GB black Wii U console, GamePad and a copy of the game. There’s no word on pricing just yet. Bizarrely, Splatoon actually hits stores in the UK on May 29, three weeks before the bundle is set to launch. It’s also worth noting that the US Splatoon console bundle includes a pre-installed version of Nintendoland and a download code for Splatoon....

Redout, a futuristic racer similar to the likes of F-Zero and WipEout, is to receive a closed beta on PC in a few weeks’ time, developer 34BigThings has announced. Players interested in giving it a go can head over to the developer’s website to register, with the beta due to begin in a few weeks’ time. Applications will only be open for “a few days”, though, so be quick if you want in....

The upcoming Yakuza: Like a Dragon will take a cue from another highly popular JRPG series, Persona, with the addition of social bonding mechanics, according to new information from Sega. Sega released a press release over the weekend detailing the various ways for Kasuga Ichiban, Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s brand new protagonist, to forge relationships and strengthen bonds with others in the game. Each character will have their own friendship meter with Ichiban that will raise based on shared social activities....

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been awarded E3 2016’s Best of Show by the coveted Game Critics Awards. The upcoming Wii U/Nintendo NX adventure also walked away with two further awards, including Best Console Game and Best Action/Adventure Game, with Best Original Game going to Horizon: Zero Dawn and Best VR Game going to Batman: Arkham VR.
