Publisher 2K Games has announced that WWE 2K22 will launch in March of 2022 during the WWE’s Summerslam event over the weekend. Traditionally, the series has released in November, but a new trailer has revealed that the first entry since 2019’s troubled WWE 2K20 will arrive around the time of the WWE’s flagship Wrestlemania event. Microsoft has announced the line-up of free titles heading to Games with Gold next month. Available from August 1, tactical action game Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate will be free to download on Xbox One, with procedurally-generated platformer Spelunky available on Xbox 360. Then, from August 15, last year’s wrestling game WWE 2K16 will arrive on Xbox One, with classic adventure Beyond Good & Evil HD heading to Xbox 360. Developer Blackmill Games are back with a new shooter Tannenberg following their 2015 FPS release Verdun. The game takes place on the Eastern Front and has been inspired by the 1914 Battle of Tannenberg. Microsoft has lifted the wraps off March 2019’s Xbox Games with Gold lineup, kicking off with Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion on March 1. An Xbox Live Gold subscription will not be required to play online multiplayer games on Windows 10 PCs or phones, Microsoft has clarified. Confirmation follows some confusion over whether a subscription would be required following Microsoft’s announcement that it would be bringing the Xbox Live platform to Windows later this year. The service will let developers integrate the Windows Store across Microsoft’s platforms and “provide access to the vast majority of Xbox Live services currently available on Xbox One”, including messaging and the option to chat with friends....

Xbox has released its first-ever Digital Transparency Report, offering insight into the work its community and moderation teams have achieved over the last six months in the name of player safety - including the news it’s taken action on 7.3m community violations during that time.
