The races of the original World of Warcraft game are impeccably detailed, providing players with an experience beyond their wildest dreams....

As the spat intensifies between Sony and Microsoft over the latter’s impending Activision Blizzard buyout, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has given his thoughts on the matter to US TV. Spencer appeared on CNBC overnight and was questioned over Sony’s recent comments on the deal - including pushback from PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, who previously branded Microsoft’s reassurances around the future of Call of Duty as “inadequate”. When asked whether Microsoft was prepared to go further than its recently-stated pledge - to keep COD on PlayStation for several more years - and perhaps promise it would remain on PlayStation in perpetuity, Spencer said his expectation was that Xbox would “continue to ship Call of Duty on PlayStation and other places”....

The Xbox Cloud Gaming service has been doing some extensive expansion lately, such as enjoying the recent arrival of Microsoft Flight Simulator. How fitting it is that Asobo’s own Jorg Neumann has been the one to confirm that mouse and keyboard support will be coming to the service sometime in the near future. As spotted by Windows Central, Neumann confirmed the new functionality is on its way during a recent developer Q&A stream for the sim....

Xbox has announced the games Xbox Games With Gold subscribers will get for the month of November 2021. First up is Team 17’s furniture arrangement party game Moving Out. You’ll be able to grab this and play with up to four friends between November 1 and November 30. Next up is Kingdom Two Crowns. You’ll be playing as a monarch who must protect their Kingdom. Explore a mediveal land in a pixel art setting from November 16 until December 15....

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has further clarified his position regarding Call of Duty’s future on PlayStation following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Speaking via the Decoder podcast, Spencer said the company intended to sell Call of Duty on PlayStation “for as long as players want to play Call of Duty on PlayStation”. Back in September, Spencer made a written commitment to PlayStation’s Jim Ryan that Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation....

One of Twitch’s biggest streamers, xQc, has been banned from the platform after showing an inappropriate game on stream. Unfortunately for xQc, he quickly changed scenes, but it was too late. The game’s description on Steam reads, “A girl from school has invited you to study for exams. She is bored and asking you to play” — spelling trouble for xQc from the start. After beating the NPC in Connect Four, she offered to take off her clothing....

While Sega’s decision to turn Yakuza 7 into a turn-based RPG has caused the ire of fans the world over, there is good news, as the publisher has announced that the game will head to the west sometime in 2020. While the Yakuza series took some time to take hold in the west, its popularity has slowly begun to rise. When Judgment, the spiritual successor to Yakuza, was released in December 2018, it received positive reviews from fans and critics alike....

In the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh, there was little more terrifying than someone flipping over a trap card in the battle phase and it being Mirror Force. Just like that, whatever plan of victory that might’ve been possible was gone, as the card destroyed all the attack position monsters on the field. Winning could go from a sure thing to highly unlikely with just that card. Those days of the game have long passed though, as Mirror Force has gone from a must run to a “bad” card in the eyes of most good players....

Tesco has cut the price of an 8GB Wii U to £99 – the first time the console has been available for less than £100 from a major UK retailer. While the reduction doesn’t mark an official price cut, it does add weight to reports stating that Nintendo had cut the cost price of the console late last year. Back in December, MCV reported that the cost price of an 8GB Wii U had been reduced by £70 in an attempt to “clear out” existing stock....

While Microsoft initially announced a Holiday 2021 release date for Windows 11, it is now confirmed that the new operating system will be available sooner than expected. According to a recently published blog post, Windows 11 will be available starting October 5. While new eligible devices will come with the operating system pre-installed at launch, older devices will have to wait until later. The rollout of the free Windows 11 upgrade will be done gradually and in phases....

According to the beta draft of the World Health Organisation’s International Compendium of Diseases, being addicted to games could become a recognised medical condition. The early draft of the document came out last week, and now the ESA has issued a statement in response that ‘strongly encourage[s]’ the WHO to ‘reverse direction.’ ‘Gaming disorder’ is currently listed next to ‘gambling disorder’ under ‘disorders due to addictive behaviours’, and the criteria for diagnosis include ‘impaired control over gaming’, piorritising gaming ‘over other life interests and daily activities’, and ‘continuation or escalation of gaming despite the occurrence of negative consequences....

Blizzard Entertainment, in 2004 brought the game World of Warcraft (WoW) to life. Since then, this MMORPG has been quite famous among the gaming community. While the game offers a choice among the opposition factions, you will have to either choose the Alliance or the Horde to continue the storyline. Just yesterday, the full WWE 2K20 roster was revealed, and while there are a few opinions as to its quality and quantity, there seems to be a consensus that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character model is incredibly off-putting. It’s the arguably strangest part of the aforementioned WWE 2K20 roster, with many openly addressing the character model’s flaws. As seen below, The Rock’s face appears to be very bland and has little-to-no definition....

Microsoft revealed a new batch of games that will coming to its Xbox Game Pass service for PC, consoles, and the cloud throughout the first half of October 2022. The list kicks off with medieval combat game Chivalry 2 available starting today across PC, consoles, and cloud as it was announced yesterday. Coming later this week on Thursday, Oct. 6 and keeping with the time period will be survival and town management game Medieval Dynasty....

Fans of the FPS classic XIII were in for a rough surprise last week when the remake from publisher Microids and developer PlayMagic released. The game was a myriad of glitches, bugs, and deviations from the original game that left many unimpressed and extremely disappointed. Our own preview of the game was less than stellar. The art direction from the original game was tweaked, animations were choppy, and that isn’t even including all the technical mishaps....
