There have been multiple rumors regarding the controller for the upcoming PlayStation 5 console, including one that essentially described it as a big block with a screen. Although we have yet to see for sure what the actual PS5 controller looks like, new patents from Sony provide suggestions for what the next DualShock controller will look like. Previous filed patents have shown that the PS5 controller may look a lot like the current DualShock controller design, though the controller is thought to be beefier and larger in design....

Bungie has marked Bungie Day with the release of a limited edition NERF gun styled after Destiny’s iconic rocket launcher, the Gjallarhorn. At one meter/four feet long, it’s a “faithful” 1:1 replication that includes an illuminated scope and comes in “premium showpiece packaging, covered with intricate details inspired from Destiny lore”. “In addition to capturing the look of this overpowering launcher, the NERF LMTD Gjallarhorn blaster includes the first-ever NERF Mega dart shells, which each hold 3 NERF Mega darts and fire 3 darts at a time,” Bungie explains....

America’s infatuation with exercise programs is insatiable. Consumers spend millions of dollars each year on the newest exercise device and routines. Ubisoft’s Your Shape: Fitness Evolved looks to capitalize on this phenomena by creating an exercise program that offers a new level of interactivity with the help of Microsoft’s new motion controller, the Kinect. While Ubisoft’s use of this new technology definitely raises the bar for exercise titles on consoles, Your Shape unfortunately fails to supply users with a well-rounded workout regiment and will likely have a limited appeal to those craving results without the gym....

Youtuber and designer Bearly Regal has reimagined the high definition glitz and grime of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 as if it were a blocky, classic PlayStation 1 title (via PCGamer). And it looks simply fabulous. After 50 hours of effort, Regal has faithfully reconstructed the game’s E3 2018 demo, with some clever pixely tricks facilitated by the game creation tool Dreams. He’s even put the disclaimer, ‘Work in progress – does not represent the final look of the game’, across the field of view....

Announced today, the New York Times Company has bought current word game sensation Wordle for “in the low seven figures.” The acquisition comes along with the hopes to “increase digital subscriptions to 10 million by 2025.” The article by the New York Times describes the changes in Wordle player counts: It is entirely unknown how this will conflict with a promise made earlier this month by creator Josh Wardle to keep the game free and without ads....

This week’s Xbox Game Pass additions are for the sports-lovers. Xbox announced a handful of sports titles coming to the service today, including Football Manager 2021 on Xbox Game Pass for PC. The football simulation game will be available tomorrow, March 4. As always, the new wave of Xbox Game Pass for PC also includes some new DLC and game updates. Both the standard edition of Football Manager 2021 and the Xbox Edition are coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC....

The Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller may only be available to purchase from GAME when it goes on sale later this year, judging by a listing on the retailer’s website. The £129.99 controller was announced at E3 earlier this month and features interchangeable analogue sticks, paddles and the option to completely reassign button inputs using the included Xbox One app. It will also be compatible with Windows 10 PCs. But GAME’s website currently lists the controller as being “Only at GAME”, suggesting that it could be exclusive to the retailer in the UK....

Far Cry 6 fans can now pay £100 for a new “Game of the Year Edition” version which includes the Lost Between Worlds expansion. What is the Lost Between Worlds expansion? That’s a good question - since Ubisoft is yet to announce it. We’ve asked the publisher for more information today. Still, details for the Far Cry 6 Game of the Year Edition are now live via listings on the Xbox and PlayStation stores....

Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse is rolling out new games left and right, with its latest creation being the upcoming action game Zenless Zone Zero. This game is reportedly a departure from Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact’s RPG style, transitioning into action RPG gameplay instead. HoYoverse often holds a brief Closed Beta for its new releases and new versions for Genshin Impact, and it’ll do the same soon for Zenless Zone Zero....

Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse - the fourth instalment in the celebrated, camera-based survival horror series - is coming to Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC “early” next year. Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse was initially released for Wii back in 2008, but never made it outside of Japan despite plans for a European launch. It tells the story of a young woman, Ruka Minazuki, who returns to the island where she was held captive along with a group of other girls, years after the event....
