On Sunday, January 26, WWE Royal Rumble 2020 will showcase the third ever all-women Royal Rumble. Ever since NXT proved that talented, female in-ring performers deserved better than forgettable matches, WWE has been gradually trying to clean up their treatment of their women’s division. It started with NXT TakeOver being main-evented by Sasha Banks vs. Bayley and soon we started to see women in the main event of Raw, the main event of PPVs, and the first female versions of such matches as Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, and TLC....

Microsoft announced the latest batch of games that will be coming to Xbox Game Pass across PC, consoles, and the cloud throughout the rest of July. Interactive drama As Dusk Falls will be launching on the service across all three platforms starting tomorrow, July 19. The game follows several characters and the choices they make following a small Arizona town bank robbery in 1998. Our review of As Dusk Falls praised the story and overall presentation, but its actual gameplay and its ending were seemingly lacking....

Back at E3 2019, Microsoft gave the world a glimpse into the next generation of Xbox consoles. Belarusian developer Wargaming has announced that it is leaving Russia. As posted on its official LinkedIn page, the World of Tanks developer has decided to discontinue all business in both Russia and Belarus. It has transferred the management of its live games to Lesta Studio in a move that it anticipates will cause it to “suffer substantial losses.” Additionally, Wargaming has begun the process of closing down its studio in Minsk, Belarus....

The Xbox team has confirmed via Twitter that the next Xbox Series X games showcase will take place on July 23 at 12 p.m. EST. Numerous outlets are reporting that this event will primarily focus on Xbox Series X games from first-party studios. That means that we could get our first look at new games from developers such as Playground Games, The Initiative, Obsidian, Ninja Theory, and, of course, Xbox Game Studios....

Xenoblade Chronicles X, the spiritual follow-up to Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, finally has a western release date: December 4th. Nintendo confirmed the news this afternoon, with the game having been available to Japanese Wii U players since April. The game is being developed by Monolith Soft, long known for its Xenosaga games as well as having a hand in the development of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the original Wii. The news was delivered as part of the same Nintendo announcement that revealed Star Fox Zero and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash would be released on the same day, November 20th....

Xenonauts 2’s Kickstarter campaign has concluded with over £190k raised, achieving just under 400% of its £50,000 goal. Xenonauts 2, from Goldhawk Interactive, is a reimagining of the 2014 original, with new mechanics and features bolstering the title. Much like XCOM 2, Xenonauts 2 begins with a twist on the previous game’s timeline, with the central operations base (and, in this case, the original commander) wiped out in a crushing assault from the invaders....

Crowdfunding mega hit Yooka Laylee will launch on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux on April 11, 2017, developer Playtonic has announced. The game will be available digitally and physically for £34.99. The Wii U version, however, has been cancelled, after the studio “encountered unforeseen technical issues” while developing for the platform. Instead, development has shifted to Nintendo Switch, with further details on the SKU set to be announced in 2017....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will feature fan-favourite co-op mode Zombies, Activision has confirmed. The mode was revealed in a description for the game hidden within the source code of the Call of Duty website, along with further details on the game’s “dark, twisted” futuristic setting. “With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies, [Black Ops 3 provides] fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever,” the description says....

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is due to receive a significant update in the upcoming 1.04 patch, which will add many needed features to the game. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has played the game in development at secretive Microsoft studio The Initiative. Spencer has been incredibly busy visiting developers this past month and recently visited Japan to talk about the Xbox Series X. Posts on Twitter confirm that The Initiative’s game is now in a playable state. Drew Murray, the design director at the Microsoft developer, said that the team was “fortunate” that Spencer visited the studio to talk about the plans for Xbox and to “get his hands on the sticks and experience the game in action....

Microsoft revealed the latest lineup of games coming to its Xbox Game Pass service across PC, consoles, and the cloud for the second half of November 2022. The list kicks off with two adventure games available today with Jumpship’s first game Somerville and Obsidian Entertainment’s historical murder mystery Pentiment. Four games will be added later this week on Thursday, Nov. 17. The previously announced Dune: Spice Wars will be available on PC in early access alongside Diablo 2 inspired action RPG Ghostlore also in early access on PC....
